Here's an Idea: Emotions
Jenny Richter calls us to see emotions as signals of truth
There’s a generation of parents today raised between emotional survival and emotional sensitivity. We weren’t taught how to fully feel. We were taught how to cope and function in a society that experiences emotional intensity as stressful.
But beneath that conditioning, something ancient remains alive: the knowledge that emotion carries intelligence.
Deep down, many of us know that our generation is here to open the door – to raise a new generation that feels safe to feel.
That threshold between numbness and knowing isn’t easy to keep open.
It asks us to sit beside emotion without shrinking away. It means walking with shadows that aren’t just our own. It means meeting children, clients, friends, and our own inner child, with more presence than we were ever met with.
It’s not our emotions that create chaos, it’s the judgement of them.
