Ben Edge was going through a dark time in his life when a chance encounter with London’s Druid Order at Tower Hill led to his awakening. It provided a catalyst for the “quest of serendipity, recovery, re-enchantment and self-discovery” he has been on ever since.

He recalls how the experience sparked his transformation. “When you’re in a depressed state, you’re trapped in rumination that leads to more inner suffering. To all of a sudden see something in the middle of the city, where people are talking about psychological harvest – planting seeds in your mind that come into fruition later in the year, and thinking of nature, and mentioning the idea of Tower Hill being this holy site, it flipped me out of that internal battle into thinking about the bigger picture.” Inspired by what he’d seen, he soon discovered community rituals taking place all around Britain. “When everything felt like doom and gloom, there was suddenly all this light. It felt like magic, and I remembered how great life is.”
